The largest union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the state has thrown its support behind the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes.
The Massachusetts Nurses Association has joined the Massachusetts Public Health Association in endorsing H. 2160, The Massachusetts Medical Marijuana Act.
The announcement follows recent endorsements of the bill from The Massachusetts Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, The AIDS Action Committee, The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Cambridge Cares About AIDS and the Massachusetts Patient Empowerment Project, as well as four local sheriffs.
